Come to our Vermicompost class to find out: why vermicompost is so beneficial; how to vermicompost; how to brew vermicompost tea; and how to make a worm bin that you can use right in your own home. **Proper vermicompost does not smell or harbor naughty insects.
Class is taught by Brian Filipowich, Director of Anacostia Aquaponics and Chair of the national Aquaponics Association. Brian also proudly holds a Master Urban Composter Certificate from DC Department of Parks n’ Rec.
BTW if you’re wondering why an aquaponics guy knows so much about vermicompost it’s that both vermicompost and aquaponic systems are living ecosystems that require similar concepts to operate. AND aquaponics-folks like to keep Red Wiggler worms in our aquaponic system media beds to help with mineralization and nutrient-cycling.
Hope to see you there!Purchase Tickets
